Saturday, January 12, 2013 - Islamabad—Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education FBISE) on Friday declared the result of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I and Part-II Supplementary Examination.
According to the details, a total number of 23783 candidates appeared in the HSSC Part-I exam and 14431 candidates could pass the exam with pass percentage of 60.68. While a total of 12169candidates appeared in the Part-II supplementary exam and 5205 passed it with pass percentageof 42.77.
In HSSC Part-I supplementary exam, a total of 23054 regular candidates appeared in the exam out of which 14215 passed against 216 private candidates out of 729 appeared.
A total of 3279 regular candidates appeared from the humanities group out of which 1359 couldpass the exam against the 127 private candidates out of 467 candidates appeared. In Pre Medical group, a total of 5253 regular candidates appeared in the exam out of which 4126 passed against no one private candidate could pass out of four appeared. In Pre-Engineering group, a total of 7760 regular candidates appeared in the exam out of which 5591 passed it while only one private candidate appeared and remained unable to pass the exam.
In Science general group, a total of 4023 regular candidates appeared in the exam out of which 1930 could pass it against the one private candidate out of two appeared. In Commerce group, a total of 2578 regular candidates appeared in the exam out of which 1147 passed it against 88 private candidates out of 255 appeared. In Med. Tech group, a total of 161 regular candidatesappeared in the exam out of which 62 appeared.
In HSSC Part-II exams, a total of 12169 private candidates appeared in the exam out of which 5205 candidates could pass the exam. A total of 3591 appeared in the exam, in Humanities group, out of which 1042 could pass the exam while in Pre-Medical group, a total of 1333 candidatesappeared in the exam out of which 754 passed it. In Pre-Engineering group, a total of 2722candidates appeared in the exam out of which 1618 could pass it however in Science general group, 2686 candidates appeared and 1123 passed the exam.
In Commerce group, a total of 1782 candidates appeared in the exam out of which 652 passed it and in Med. Tech group, 16 candidates passed the exam out of 55 appeared.
The results are available on the FBISE website www.fbise.edu.pk and are also available through SMS unified code 5050 for which the candidates are required to send SMS in the format FBspace[roll number]. All those candidates placed under compartment are allowed to reappear in the failing subjects if otherwise eligible in HSSC annual examinations 2013. The applications for the rechecking of papers will be received within 30 days of declaration of result.
This year, 04 unfair means cases were reported and a judicious procedure was adopted to decide the cases.—APP
